We are conducting a candidate search for a Senior Programmer/Analyst - Application Integration for United Rentals, for the corporate office in Shelton, CT.  The need is immediate. 

 

Founded in 1997, United Rentals, Inc. is the largest equipment rental company in the world, with nearly $3.9 billion in annual revenue and 700 rental locations throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Their diverse customer base includes construction and industrial companies, utilities, municipalities, and homeowners

Job description:

The Application Integration Specialist’s role is to plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the integration of software applications into the organization’s various information systems. The initial focus of integration will be the Lawson Financial System v9 on the i-series. The candidate must be able to design and implement web services-based interface projects from start to finish.

Essential Duties:
Write interface programs
• Convert specifications into web services programming
• De-bug applications, including performing initial testing after problem has been fixed
Produce functional (technical) specification document
• Outline inputs/outputs and data transformation requirements
Create promotion document
• Outline steps for putting program into production


Implement integration projects
• Execute interface after testing
Interface production support

 
Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT ERP software development with at least 2 years of web services-based integration and use of workflow tool.
• Experience with Lawson Processflow Integrator v9 a definite advantage
• 1-2 years experience with Mercator/ IBM Ascential Software or any Windows-based data mapping tool required
• SQL Server DTS or Integration Services skill an advantage
• Lawson Processflow Professional desired
• Lawson Business Component Integrator desired
