    Hello,

I am having an issue where the line has been canceled on a PO.  The rest of the lines arrived at the warehouse and we are unable to receive the other lines because a line on the PO was canceled.  We are receiving the below error.

"Cannot change;line 00003 has been canceled"

Can anyone help me in correcting this error?  We are unable to receive the other items on the PO.

    Thank you,
    Ardra

Our policy is that we do not reopen closed PO lines. In the PO Company Setup screen (PO01) the Reopen Closed PO Line flag is set to N. Even if that flag was set to Y, once a line has been cancelled you can't reverse unless you use a quickpaint screen to change the database. I would just create a new line using the correct account for your receipt.

        Jon,

I followed up with the warehouse and the actual issue is that the warehouse cannot receive the other lines on the PO because of the canceled line.  Any suggestions?

That shouldn't stop other lines from being received. Is the entire PO cancelled?

No, only the one line is canceled and when we go to release the PO so the warehouse can receive the other lines the error references the canceled line and wrong account.

So even though you're not trying to make a change to line 3, which is cancelled and closed, your getting that error "Cannot change;line 00003 has been canceled" when you attempt to release the PO?

We receive the error "account 70203 0073010002 inactive on line 3" which is the canceled line. We then attempt to change the account number on the canceled line and receive the error "Cannot change;line 00003 has been canceled".

Have accounting reactivate the account just long enough for you to release the PO. The PO should release then and you can receive the other lines.

Does anyone else think this sounds like a bug though? If the line (line 3) is cancelled on the PO and you are trying to release it, it shouldn't matter what line 3 has for the accounting information if it isn't being "released."
                      Thoughts?

Yes it does, although I've seen a similar issue with the account category. Accounting inactivated an AC a while back and we have some old POs that are still open. I can't re-release the PO after cancel remaining on the line unless I have them reactivate the AC.

We run into this all the time with Activities being past dates - when we are trying to Cancel Remaining for that exact reason. Per Infor, it's by design.
