    BSI TaxFactory SaaS Support Option.

Anyone done this or is considering moving TF10 to cloud?

    Thanks,

I don't think that's an option for Lawson S3; per the documentation ("Infor Integration: BSI TaxFactory 10.0 US and 8.0 Canada for Infor Human Resources" - BSIP_10.x_UWA_01, June 2014), "The TaxFactory server component must be installed on the Infor UNIX or Windows Application server."
Thanks for using the LawsonGuru.com forums!

        John -

I agree however I have an open S3 ticket related to BSI 10 and the response from the support rep indicated that in her test environment where they are running S3 with BSI as SAAS the issue is not present... mayhap something they are testing?  Or more likely Infor cloud uses BSI cloud...

We are in the middle of doing it right now. It requires a "base" install however it is a "DB-Less" installation. We have it almost configured however we are waiting on direction on how to point lawson to it for testing. It requires 2 environment variables called TF10_Dataset and TF10_Database which we setup according to the BSI instructions. We are on Lawson LSF V10.0.3.

The TF10_Database variable referes to an xml file that contains the connection information to the "cloud" Database and the TF10_Dataset refers to the local name of one of the 3 datasets provided by BSI (prod, test, dev). It seems fairly straightforward so hopefully we'll be testing this week.

            Hi!
We just completed the"install" of the BSI cloud version in our test environment today. We're long time S3 customers. Outside of the crappy documentation it went relatively smoothly. One DEFINITE documentation issue is that the TF10_DATABASE variable syntax is incorrect in the doc and won't work if you're Unix. So if you're Unix, be sure to stick an extra "/" at the beginnning of the file path. Let me know if you need additional help or a phone call.
