October 2016, we upgraded to Lawson v10 and LBI v10. We report heavily on operational/detail level data throughout our Supply Chain department. We primarily use Crystal Report files posted to LBI to facilitate data dumps and summary information to our end users (data to review and update inventory reorder theory, item conversions, etc). We regularly use Lawson Add-ins for large record changes so our field demand for reporting is quite large. For years we have struggled with record limitations in Crystal, Excel and exporting data from LBI.
We were told when we upgrade to Lawson v11, LBI will go away and Infor BI would be the replacement and it would solve our reporting performance issues with the cubes.
We are currently reviewing Infor BI as an upgrade to LBI v10. Recently I've read some articles and forum posts that seem to lead me to believe BIRST is the actual upgrade to Lawson BI for operational reporting and Infor BI is more of an executive dashboard product.
Can anyone provide any clarity or share your experience with upgrading to any of these products?
Much appreciated!

I had started this thread (

earlier since I had the same questions.
I think Birst is the way infor is going, but I would like to get others opinion too.
Thanks,
Nabil
