We have a couple users that when they click on the links on one of our LBI dashboards, nothing happens. If they log into a different pc it works fine. So this leads me to think it's a setting on the pc. IT has verified that Lawson security, IE version and compatibility settings are fine. The links on other dashboards work as expected. Anyone have a similar issue?

Hey Jon, is the link supposed to open a new window? If so, make sure that the new window is not opening "off the screen." Take a look at this:

That's a good thought but not the case. Most all of the links on the MSS and ESS dashboards open new windows and those links work fine for the two individuals this is happening to. It's just the RQC dashboard that they have a problem.

Shoot. Have you tried having the user click on the link with Fiddler running, to see if that shows you anything?

It's been a while since I've used Fiddler. Good suggestion. I'll pass it on to our desktop support team.

I got a call back from our DBA just after I suggested Fiddler in an email. Apparently desktop support turned compatibility settings on in IE 10 and the links work now. We were told by Lawson to leave that off, which on almost every pc we do, and most work fine. But there seems to be a handful of users that need compatibility settings on.

Hopefully it will at least point them in some direction for troubleshooting. I am just the lawson cobol jockey here (and our shop is small enough that I get tapped on the shoulder for desktop support from time to time), but I know our Lawson security admin has discovered some less than obvious security-related issues in this way.
...Also see if your desktop team has had the user try to log in and reproduce the issue on someone else's machine, or if they've had them try another browser like Chrome (if that is supported).

LOL, it looks like our messages bumped into each other in cyberspace. I'm glad that you got this issue sorted out! The IE settings was kind of where I was going with having the user try another machine. FYI, we just went to IE11 last month - be prepared for more wacky Lawson hijinks when you make that jump. We moved to environment and application versions that are supposed to compatible with IE11, but we are finding lots of little quirks. There have already been a handful of portal patches put out to address some of the issues. Putting IE11 in enterprise mode (fancy new compatibility mode) resolved some issues for Lawson, but then created issues with other web applications accessed by our users.

We ran into quite a few of the "quirks" in LBI with Chrome and IE11 that were resolved with LBI 10.4.16.
