I'm getting this error when I try to log into IPDesigner.

An error has occurred. See the log file

    C:\IPDesigner\IPDProd\workspace\.metadata\.log.

It was working fine until last Thursday.  I noticed that when I was modifying a flow there were some errors but they weren't listed in the window.  So I thought maybe a restart of the application would fix that.  But after the restart I got this error when I tried to log in.  I've attached the log file but I don't think it's very helpful.

This happens to me from time-to-time. Been happening for years (even in the old PFI designer).
I've opened tickets with Lawson, but they never seem to address the problem.
The root-cause, as best as I've determined, is a corrupt java xml file.
Simply delete (or rename) the below file and then relaunch the IPD client.

      C:\IPDesigner\\workspace\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.ui.workbench\workbench.xml

        That path should be:
        C:\IPDesigner\*install_name*\workspace\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.ui.workbench\workbench.xml

If the workbench.xml file doesn't exist when the client launches it will create a new one.
