For all LTM first time users what is the best way to input data ? I went through the LTM data load guide but wanted to find out what is a better way to input data ? Has anyone used the Lawson Spreadsheet designer ?
Can you share your experiences?
Thanks.

Hi Ruma -
I built some ETL stuff last summer with PFI to do this into LTM - drop me a note with some details and I might have something that could help you out.

Ruma,
I used the Import first and then did the Lawson Spreadsheet Designer. You can just use the Lawson Spreadsheet designer however, when adding in structures such as the Manager Structure and the Organization Unit Structure you will have to be a little more careful. We pulled our information out of HCM and loaded into LTM. Lawsn Spreadsheet Designer gives you more freedom to upload a lot of information very quickly and with less issues than a trigger could cause. If you are just inputing data and not pulling it from somewhere else (ex: HCM) you can do a query on the page that you are wanting the information loaded into (make sure to include headers) and enter the information into the spreadsheet then you would click upload and map the data. This will upload the information all at once instead of having to create a new form for each line of data you are entering. What types of information are you wanting to upload? I can send you a document on how to do this if you'd like?
