We will be going live with lsf9 this coming weekend.  We have followed the LBI instructions to modified the portalrole home page to point to the url for our lbi.  When we do this, users do not get access to any of the portalrole bookmarks that are locked.  Lawson has referenced me to article number 5001032 - If you have changed the home page for the role to something other than 'home.htm', this issue will occur. It's a known issue and it's currently working as designed. The code that looks for bookmark locks is called by JavaScript in 'home.htm'. If you do not have a 'home.htm', then you will not see any bookmark locks. We are on lsf 9.0.0.4 and lbi 9.0.1.10.154.

This just does not make sense to me.

Does anyone else have portal and lbi integrated with locked bookmarks?

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Sorry, I can't comment upon locked bookmarks, however since we have a similar setup (LSF 9.0.0.2 with LBI 9.0.1.10.154) I can tell you that we use a Portal Group to give people access to LBI. If they should not have LBI, then we don't give them the group.

There's so much security available within LBI itself that I wonder why you need to be so secure in Portal as far as LBI access goes.

Elizabeth, when you are creating the "portal role" for LBI, it applies to LBI-ONLY (i.e. NON-PORTAL) users (the documentation doesn't really make this clear). The intent is to provide a single URL (i.e. xxx/lawson/portal) that will then display LBI/EFS dashboards for non-Portal users. If you have Portal users who are ALSO LBI users, then you would simply authorize those users to have access to the LBI bookmarks, and NOT change their portal role.
Thanks for using the LawsonGuru.com forums!

The LBI documentation to integrate with portal tells you to change the home.htm within the portalrole to the url for lbi.  When you do this, it does not give you access to all the other bookmarks for that portalrole.  The LBI specialist that I spoke with yesterday said that it is a portal issue and he directed me on a work around.  There was a pt written back in January 2007 for the portal side of the house to fix this, but it was closed without anything being done about it.

They really should change the LBI documentation and tell everyone to setup a bookmark and not replace the home.htm within the portalrole.

          Thanks!

When you say use LBI Bookmarks, what are the bookmarks (if there are actual bookmards to use, we can't find them, but would love to use them)?  Or, are you stating to create a link for LBI users in a bookmark?  We point to a new portal role.xml to use pass thru authentication.  We did not want our portal users to have to log in twice.

            Thank you, Kris

              Hi Elizabeth,

I have had the same problem as you since we went live on LSF9 12/07.

We have the Requisitions Self Service bookmark setup as a subscription lock however it does not load because we are not pointing to home.htm

The users have to select content the first time they logon and then hit the refresh button, this will then load the subscriptions to their side bar.  It's annoying at best for the users, but they only have to do it the first time they logon.

I have wondered if there was a way to figure out what code lawson is reffering to that is in the home.htm.  I wonder if that code could be pasted into the page that our users are now pointed to for LBI?

One other way I was able to get around the subscription lock issue was to create a bookmark for LBI and point the portalrole to home.htm  It seems others who posted here have done the same.

That way the subscription locks are enforced and the user can get their LBI dashboards by selecting the bookmark.
