We have Lawson environment (Database) running in iseries.
Websphere and IIS runs on windows 2003 server. Can we install IOSRS and IOSRE in windows 2003 server and still have the portal retrieve data from iseries? Is there any documentation explaining this?

    Thanks

      Hari,
That is not a supported configuration (nor is it even possible that I'm aware). IOSRS resides on the same server as the Lawson applications, which in your case is iSeries.

      See http://support.lawson.com...08000306/iosig-a.pdf for further details.

Is there any specific reason as to whey IOSRS should reside on the same server as Lawson application? Can we not create a loopback installation and then point the LAWSON/gen/IBM file DBNAME to the database name that Lawson application runs on?

Sorry for my persistance. I am new to Lawson application, but very well experienced in websphere and j2ee.

The database can be on a separate server from IOSRS. The constraint is that IOSRS and the applications (i.e. GENDIR, LAWDIR, etc.) have to be on the same server.

When you install IOS, I guess these directories get installed too.

              Thanks
