Does anyone have a solution for the following scenerio:
We set up our organization as one company in the Lawson HR/PR system with multiple Process Levels to represent our various business units. Two of these are "Head Process Levels" (paymasters with different tax I.D.'s)
When an employee transfers between the two pay masters, Lawson handles the FICA tax maximum limit by looking at earnings in both Process Levels. It also handles splitting the cost of benefits.
BUT, Lawson does not handle the calculation of Federal and State Withholding tax by looking at the employee's total earnings when they float. It treats the earnings separately and therefore underwithholds for these employees. This is significant for some employees that float between the hospital and our nursing home.
