Hi all,
we are on 8.0.2x and I've been tasked to redo the PMTOUT file to add more information printed in the paycheck. They wanted me to redo the vacation(APL) balances in which they believe is not really reflecting the correct values when an employee changes vacation plan within the year. There are a lot of information that are required such as from the PRTIME, EMTATRNSUM and PAYDEDUCTN tables. All these tasked are now in place and we have tested it extensively without any problem at all. Problem? Yes there is a problem! It seems that the figures are somewhat off by a pay period as compared to the wage report. I think the real problem here is timing and I want to ask you all about the payroll cycle.
How is the tables updated like PRTIME and EMTATRNSUM? Are they updated only during closing of payroll cycle? Without going into deep analysis, are they updated only during run of TA199 and PR197? I'm not a functional person so I'm not very familiar with payroll cycle and any help on this is greatly appreciated.
