I'm looking for any recomended reading on how to best handle capital requests in Lawson. We currently have a seperate database app that tracks requests made against the capital budget, Lawson PO's are then generated against the request. We are going to shortly begin implementing Activities but I will be working on this process first and would like to make sure it will intigrate into activities. Any suggestions on "Best Practices" reading?
Thanks
Jeff

The whole PO process integrates into activities very well but the whole concept of what causes commitments and actuals and which programs create these transactions into which bucket will need to be studies very clearly.
Also matching of a PO to an invoice that is tied to an activity and what are the consequences when thete are matches out of tolerance etc causes teh activities tied to budgets to change.
Since the whole process requires a lot of understanding, the best study materiel is a recorded webinar on lawson learning that explains the whole process through and it gave us a jumpstart to the whole process. Other than this the AC guide is the only other source but there are knowlegebase articles on industry best practices on how to setup activites and matching that existed in the past not sure they still do.
On every CUE they have many sessions that explain this process and maybe the CUE sesssion presentations can be used as study materiel.
