User with imported delivery device not receiving smart note

    Hi All,

    We have imported a user delivery device for a new user who will be receiving a smart note.  The physical delivery device is their email address.   After the import, their delivery device is in an “Enabled” status.

    I “force-subscribed” the new user to the smart note by following the documentation in the user and admin guide and by using the “Group Content Subscription Tool”.   I have force-subscribed this notification to other users by using this same procedure.

    The user that had their delivery device imported does not get the smart notification while other uses do get the smart notification.  The users that are receiving the smart notification logged into smart notes, manually set up their delivery device, and confirmed the device.

    One thing I noticed is the users that have manually set up and confirmed their delivery device automatically had their logical devices mapped to the physical device upon confirmation.   While the user that had the device imported does not have any mapping of the logical devices to their physical device.

    I believe this is the root cause on why the person is not receiving the smart notification.

    Has anyone else experienced this? 

    Is there a way to import a delivery device and automatically have the users logical devices point to that physical device? 

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
