We just became aware according to the 'Lawson Product Life Cycle Maintenance Policy' that ISeries 9.0 Apps and LSF is going on extended maintenance Nov 11. Never received a Decomission Notice nor is it posted. Guess modules now are only decommissioned, but not apps and environment. Anyway, thoughts on upgrading from 9.0 to 9.1 with Infor10 up in the air etc., don't want to invest a bunch if have to move again soon. ISeries 9.0 just became GA in 2008, same time as 9.1 became GA. Can anyone tell me the pains/issues they had with going from 9.0 to 9.1 both Apps/Environment at once, or seperate? Thanks in advance.

We moved from 9.0 to 9.1 Apps + LSF on i/Series about 6 months ago. No major issues since the upgrade. Biggest challenge was that we needed a whole new Websphere installed. We stayed on OS/400 V5R4, and kept the same server hardware. We installed Websphere 7.0 ND and the newest Java version, then the new LSF. That took longer than anything else. Once that was done, the upgrade from 9.0 to 9.0.1 apps went relatively smoothly. One good benefit - the users report that the application response time is faster than on 9.0.

Thank you Mike, appreciate the feedback. Our Webspere has already been updated so we should be okay in that category.
