    Hello,

We are looking to prioritize Rush/Hot/Stat orders for our requestors using RQC to place orders. Our requestors are just getting familiar with RQC and fax in manual orders to communicate Hot orders currently. However, one department has been using the comment field to communicate urgency. Ideally, we would like to have a more formal way to prioritize these orders in Lawson.

We used IPA and messed with the rqc config xml.  The "Priority" in RQC was changed to say "Special Shipping" with a drop down.  The selections are given different priority numbers and have corresponding comment codes.  So if they select Overnight - 8:30am it changes the req priority to 1 and puts in a PO Header Comment that says "Priority First Overnight" etc.

The PO100s are set that the 1-10 priority reqs batch out as unreleased so the buyers can call in/email the rep/etc.

Kat's response is spot - on.  That's about the best method available.

            Hello again!

            Point of clarification...

We are looking to prioritize RQC stock items printed to a pick ticket. We would like communicate the priority of requisitions not POs. Do you have any thoughts on how we might address this from a requisition point of view?

Oh! Sorry - the WH130 has priority filters as well. (We don't use Batch Allocation) You would need to mess with your WH130 runs and have the more frequent ones be priority 1-10 and then run it for 50-50 once or twice a day.
