We are in the process of creating roles for our Lawson users and are wanting to find out what is the best practice to create roles for different users in a department. I also know that these roles should be the same as the roles assigned in LS for that user. In this case again what practises have been followed while creating roles.
Please share. thanks in advance.

Hi Ruma,
Did you have any luck with this? I'm looking into the setup of roles at the moment and would be keen to find out how you went. I'm struggling to understand how to set this up considering there are 3000+ functions. To activate the "Authority requiried" for all functions is easy enough with SQL but do I have to manually set the permissions on every function?
I have seen there is a an "auto-create permissions" option in MNS405 but can't find much information on what this does or if it solves my problem.
Any tips would be appreciated!
MrP
