I have been trying to install MSCM version 9.0.0.8 (long story) on our test box. The OS is Windows Server 2K3 R2 and the database is SQL Server 2000. We are using WAS ND 6.0.2.37 and the application is installed on a federated node (We are also running our Lawson app server on the same box). I am able to successfully deploy and install the app. However, when I go to the login screen the error, "Database is currently unavailable" is displayed.

I see multiple connections for the database user specified in the mscm.filter.properties when I look at the process information for the database. Any ideas on what could be causing this error?

    TIA,

    Eric

What is no one else running a completely out of date version of MSCM? My error was caused by not cycling the WAS components properly after redeploying MSCM. Once I followed the steps below, the error message no longer appeared and I was able to log into the application.

      1. Make changes to mscm.filter.properties file
      2. Uninstall mscm
      3. Deploy
      4. Install mscm
      5. Stop the server in the console
      6. Start the server in the console
      7. Stop the mscm application in the console
      8. Stop the jms bus
      9. Start the bus
      10. Start the mscm application
