I have a group of pre-existing accounts that are active in some accounting units and inactive in other accounting units. I want to make these accounts active for all accounting units. I have tried using GL 100 (Mass Chart Acct Change Delete) and GL 121 (Mass Account Addition). Does anyone know how to do this?

If you have Excel Addins, you could upload against GL20.2. See this article, which is for the chart itself (GL00); you'd have to adapt this idea to apply to GL20.2

Can I deactivate AU&account combinations in GL20.3 using Addins? If so, what do I need to know? Thank you.

This is a similar issue we encountered many months ago and we opened up an Infor Enhancement Request. It is ERS #6869. Just today we received an email they are now researching it. For us, bottom line, if the status is changed to Inactive at the higher level file DBIFGLN in GL20.1, it should make all the corresponding lower level file records in DBIFGLM Inactive as well. We should not have to manually run an ADDIN and apply it against GL20.3 so the files are sync'd up.
I will attach this link ERS #6869, just so they know others clients have this issue.

We had a temporary moratorium on inactivating the Accounting Units due to potential reporting issues, so we were inactivating all active account combinations to prevent users from posting to the accounting unit, but we were hoping to save some time by using Addins, and just weren't sure if it was possible.

There shouldn't be any issues with uploading that information using Addins. You just upload to the GL20.3 and provide it the FC, GLN-COMPANY, GLN-ACCT-UNIT, GDT-ACCOUNT, GDT-SUB-ACCOUNT and GLM-ACTIVE-STATUS. I think the FC there should take care of where you would normally do a change on GL20.2. If not, the fields are also available from the GL20.2 upload so you can go that way as well.

Thank you for the tips. I will try from the GL20.2, because when I tried from the GL20.3, I got this message in the results: Window Changed - Update Form To Save. I didn't realize the GL20.2 had these same fields available. I didn't think to look.

Awesome. When I have a similar request taken Off Hold, I will definitely refer to this thread.
