When converting our vendor master to lawson AP vendor (version 9.0.1) a couple of cities were longer than the 18 length limit.
Ex. San Juan Capistrano and Rancho Santa Margarita
Anyone run into this type of problem - how would you shorten a city name and still get a check to the correct destination?
I haven't run into this type of problem before, but one suggestion I have is to use the Address 4 field on AP10.1 for their city. Then blank out their City field. AP10 will allow this and AP155 will print the Address 4 field. The check will look something like this: Victor's Office Materials 1111 First Street Rancho Santa Margarita RI 11256 HOWEVER: If these types of Vendors (with the long City names) are 1099 vendors, you would not get their City in the correct box on the 1099 form, so this might not be a good option.
