I need to add over 100 lines to an allocation. Rather than key everything in, I think it would be easier (and less risky) to create an upload Add In. Does anyone have an upload template they can share? Does anyone know of a better way to add many lines to an allocation?

We have done an upload previously to add allocation lines. I've attached the header file we used as well as the upload add-in. This is version 9.0.1 so hopefully it will work for whatever version you're on.

One note is that this just adds the lines to the end of the allocation going on with the step value you have set, it doesn't sort or anything before going in.

      Hope this helps

Thanks, Bob. That was very helpful. Now I'm struggling with the CA10.3 screen. Add ins tells me my changes are successful but I don't see the changes taking effect.

My issue with the CA10.3 screen is resolved. There are hidden fields on the CA10.1 screen that need to be populated. (I suspected this may be the case...I found confirmation on a post on GL20.3 in Lawson Guru). My issue is resolved.
          Thanks again, Bob.

Can you possibly tell me where you found this post? I cannot seem to locate it an we are having a similar issue. Are you able to share the hidden fields that need to be populated in order to get CA10.3 updated.

            Thanks very much!

Sherry, if you do a search withn this forum on GL20.3, you'll find the post where I got my answer (Changing Activity Required field in (GL20.3) Using AddInns). Randall supplied the clue to help me.
The attached word document shows the hidden fields I used to populate my allocation. You will need to scroll down while building your add in.
              I hope this helps.

Joseph, thanks for your assistance. We will search the forum for the GL20.3 post and review your Word document. We also have a need to update the CA10.9 form in addition to the CA10.3. If we can get CA10.3 to work, perhaps we can apply the same logic.

                Thanks again for your help!
