Our Financial Acctg. mgr cannot seem to get GL190 to post entries. She gets the message “No journal entries detected for criteria given”. She relates that she has had this problem for several months, and has had to turn to her backup staff to run the jobs for her when all attempts fail. The other two have no problems running GL190, using the same criteria (dates and subsystems to access) that the manager has used.

The mgr. usually runs the GL190 for some of the subsystems, such as AP and AR. When we look at GL45, the AP entries show up, plain as day. The security appears to be ok – it was re-checked today by our security administrator, and she does have access to GL190.

Could anyone suggest why this will not run for her? We have even had the mgr. delete this job, then add another version of it (under a different name), and these renamed versions also fail to run.

We are at version 8.0.3 for applications and she is running these under LID, although Portal (obviously) is available.

Coincidentally, she tried to run this job from home, using Portal – at about the same time as she started having the no-run problems under LID here at the office. The job would not run using Portal, either.

Another option would be for her to inquire on a job of her staff that does work, then add it with her name attached and see it that works.

Have your Lawson security administrator turn off security and see if she can run it. That is the quick way to rule in/out security as the root cause.
If security is the issue, have them use the 'lstinvk' against GL190, and make sure she has access to tokens listed.
Thanks for using the LawsonGuru.com forums!
