We are looking at possible solutions to scan our invoices, use OCR and workflow technology to route them and then interface into Lawson. I'm wondering if anyone is doing this today, what software solutions were chosen, what the experience has been, etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

Although I don't use it personally, we have ImageNow installed- The AP clerks scan the invoices, and then link them to Lawson. Then I believe they are all linkable from Lawson, searchable, etc. Not sure about the OCR of them though.

We use this for the HR folks to scan Employment documentation in, as well and link it to the employees, so it's more than just an invoice scanning solution.

I could pass your contact info along, if you'd like to discuss in more detail.

The big names in this space with Lawson seem to be ImageNow, On-Base and MHC.

We use ImageNow. We use it for HR -Employement Docs, Receiving Doc uses it for all orders, AP uses the workflow to route for approval then keys the invoice into Lawson. We are in process of rolling out to Purchasing and plan for Grants Administration to follow later this year.

It has worked pretty well for us.

We are implementing ImageNow at this time for AP invoices. Does anyone update ImageNow with the current statuses of the invoice from Lawson via CSV? If so, what is the best way to signal that there has been a change to the record in Lawson in order to output the CSV record ?

when you send out your RFP's you might want to include RJS Software, WebDocs. We use their solution, it was affordable and they are a great vendor to work with.
