EMSS upgrade from 9 to 10.7

    We have issues with our Benefits Open Enrollment. Infor Support says we need to upgrade from 9.0 to 10.7. We are in the middle of company merge and we don't have the luxury to mess up Lawson. Is 10.7 EMSS upgrade just simply will overwrite xbnnet, xhrnet and LOGAN? Is it still JavaScript? We have plenty of customizations.

      We installed EMSS 10.0.3 while still using 9.0.1 applications a couple of years ago when recommended by Lawson. Everything is still html/javascript based to my knowledge for the latest release, and any files in the EMSS directories can be updated by the upgrade. We found added functionality for PTO balances helpful so we didn't need to retrofit a customization for balances. The theme (look and feel) for 10.0.3 was much better, but there's still an option for the legacy 9.0.x.

        There are quite a few html/js changes between EMSS v9 and v10, so it could be a bit of re-development work depending on the level of your customizations. Also as Brian mentioned, there are several enhancements, some of which may replace a customization.
