Nothing yet, Don. I would expect it to be this month, though!

Just received an email from Infor today on S3 Payroll YE... Not sure if I can copy/paste it here or not. What would your opinion be, John?

*** Note *** While waiting for John's response, I also received an AP Year End letter, but it contains pretty much the same stuff as this Payroll one.

            Dear Infor Customer,

Welcome to the beginning of 2012 payroll year-end for North America with Infor!

We are writing to inform you of Infors web-based resources that can help your organization complete a smooth and successful year-end process.

            Important dates:
The year-end webpage will be available beginning in mid-November.

The year-end downloads will be available beginning in early December.

To help prepare for year-end, Infor will offer a Hot-Topic webinar. The webinar will cover changes for year-end 2012 as well as year-end website navigation. This no-charge webinar will be offered December 20th at 10:00 AM CST. More information on Hot Topics is available at http://mylawson.com > Get Support > Hot topics.

Between November 28th through the end of December, Infor/Lawson Learning will be offering Vlabs, Webinars, and traditional class room training. More information regarding these offerings can be found at http://mylawson.com under the Education tab.

            Online year-end resources:
All online year-end resources offered by Infor can be found on the Xtreme Support portal at www.inforxtreme.com. From the Xtreme Support portal, you will also be able to link to a variety of other resources including:

Xtreme Documentation (Documentation > S3 (if applicable) > Browse > Lawson > Year End Processing) - This is the first place you should go to search for 2012 year-end information and updates including year-end approved W-2 forms, Vendor information, year-end user guides, and training information, and links to Knowledge Base articles. It is advisable to periodically check this site for updates. CTPs posted later in the cycle are located on the Xtreme Knowledge Base. They can be found by searching on the JT number and filtering on your Application Release Level.

Xtreme Downloads (Download > Products > Lawson > S3 Applications > S3 Regulatory Releases) This location can provide access to the initial downloads for both US and Canadian programs. In order to receive the downloads described, customers must have all outstanding maintenance invoices paid.

Xtreme Support If you cannot locate the information you need within Xtreme Documentation or Knowledge Base, we encourage you to use the Xtreme portal to submit an Incident to our Support team. During the year-end period, Xtreme Support will be staffed with additional certified payroll consultants and engineers to help provide prompt and complete resolution of your issues.

            Year-end program changes and recommendations:
As of November 1st, the required minimum BSI TaxFactory versions are 9.0h (US) and 8.0e (Canada). Please reference BSIs website for updates and requirements for Tax Year 2012.

Ensure you have reviewed all Critical Notifications and applied all recommended updates, including environment requirements, for your application level.
Output files for US regulatory programs are created in CSV format. As soon as the formats are available on Xtreme Documentation, you should supply the CSV file layout to your vendor. You should also conduct in-house testing as soon as possible.

To help reduce the potential for problems at this critical time of year, we recommend downloading and testing the year-end downloads at the earliest possible date.

The initial year-end downloads and subsequent year-end updates are considered stand-alone. This means CTPs can be loaded regardless of the MSP level or other CTPs currently installed on your system.

            IBM i patch strategy.

For applications release 9.0.0.5 and later (post AMT): You need to take the initial download available for all IBM i, UNIX, and NT.

Environment patches for all releases can be installed in any order.

We look forward to working with you toward a successful year-end!

            Best regards,

            Karen Durenberger
