If anyone is using FML tracking in LP, my organiation would appreciate talking to you about your set up and how you are able to track/process leave of absences within Lawson LP.
To discuss, please contact Kim Southard at southard.kim@mhsil.com. Thank you!

      Kim,
We are just going through our testing here.  But as an ex Lawson consultant I can tell you many clients use it.  It's pretty straight forward.  Just map your current system of record to the LP51 form and build out your Leave Reasons & Statuses (HR codes).  There is no tied functionality between LP51 and other areas.  For example entering a PA52 begining of leave action does not create an LP51 record but there are hooks built into LP51 to make the creation of triggers easier.  Also if you have process flow you can create whatever you need.  A couple of pointers, for determining eligibility, don't use the canned report LP251, instead use LP60 where you enter the date range, your Service class and inquire.  The system returns hours worked, then click the totals button and you can see if the EE is over 1,250 hrs.  Also, an undocumented feature is once a leave record has been added right click on the leave # and you can enter comments or attachments.  Many clients use this to track the events during a leave and it can be printed out if you should have any legal issues about the leave as your official history of events.  Related to LP51, you can build a structure on LP02 to track the balance so it can be seen like any other plan in drill around, EMSS, or on checks.  Whatever you need.  Final note, currently there is no functionality for the system to restore hours used to an employees bank on the anniversary of the day the FMLA time was used.  It'
s pretty easy to create automation to do this and Infor does have this on their list of future enhancements.  Hope this helps,

      Ken
