    Hi Everyone,

Can anyone share how they capture the required supporting documentation for ESS life event transactions? It's our understanding employees can not upload documents into Lawson.

    Thanks,
    Lena

We have a flow that is kicked off to email the employee and tell them they have to bring documents to HR.

Thanks Margie! I believe that approach would work for those who have email. However, our difficulty, which I didn't mention in my initial post, is most of our population are located in our manufacturing plants.

The only thing that i can think of where documentation would be required are the benefit enrollment changes.

If you aren't wanting to import the benefit elections tied to those life events till documentation is provided, I would suggest setting up BS531 to only create a file for new hire enrollments by default. That would leave the life event enrollments alone in your normal process.

Then you can either set up a separate job or alter the one you run normally to do life event enrollments just for specific employees when they provide the documentation.

After that you just need to decide how to ensure the employee is aware they are required to provide that documentation prior to the benefit actually taking effect.

I don't think you'd be able to force the documentation at the point where the employee is entering in the life event without heavy customization and some sort of third party document management solution.
