For those of you tracking retiree benefits in Lawson, does anyone track them in BN32 instead of BN72? We are considering making a switch to BN32, because it simplifies report writing for us. Can anyone offer some insight as to why retiree benefits must be entered in BN72? What are we not considering?

We dont do either, but am curious to see what others do since we are considering moving them into the system for tracking.

If you use Lawson GL, how do you plan to get the expenses to flow to GL?
We used to do it, a long time ago, on the BN32 and they would add a zero pay code to process a "payment" so that the company deduction would be expensed. Lots of zero payments for a growing number of retirees. There were other issues as well but I can't remember them off hand.
