Can I submit all the copy jobs (UG, IF, GL, SL etc etc etc) to the queue without waiting for each system to finish first?

Right now, i wait for each system to finish before submitting another system's copy job.

We submitted If and UG single thread because it was our first go at the copy jobs, and sumbmitted the rest with out issue. They stacked up in the queue and processed out to completion.

Are your copy jobs using sqldbcopy or are you experiencing the default to dbcopy?

You can submit the upgrade copy jobs all at once, they do not need to finish before submitting the next system code.

The UG copy job should not be submitted until after all the other copy jobs have finished.

What is the reason/benefit for submitting the UG copy last?

Long long ago when I attended Lawson's Upgrade training they communicated that the UG copy needed to be run last and the UG load needed to be run first before any other load jobs. What I understood was that the jobs needed to be run this way to make sure the upgrade statistics would be correct.

I just checked the UIP and there is no mention of needing to run the copy job last, just the need to run the load job first.

Page 35 of the UIP states: Use UG99 to complete the load programs for the applications you plan to upgrade in the
sequence shown in this checklist. UG system must be performed FIRST.

The 8.0.3 to 9.0 upgrade programs have changed quite a bit from when they originally came out, the copy jobs use to be on the source side menu. I am thinking the requirement to run the UG copy job last may have changed when they moved the copy jobs to the target side menu.
