We are looking at planning the upgrade to Infor 10.

    Currently:
2 Solaris Unix servers to host LSF (1 for LSF and 1 for Database)
Windows servers for LBI and MSCM

Moving forward we will implement IPA and possibly SmartOffice

If we move forward with this plan, will we need a server for Landmark for IPA, AND one for SmartOffice AND one for Workspace, or can Workspace run on the Solaris servers under IHS where we have our current version of Portal.

    TIA,
    -Greg

Smart Office really doesn't require it's own server since there's not really much to the install space-wise, or resources-wise. It can be installed on the same server as Workspace/Ming.le for example.
Yes you'll need a separate server for IPA/Landmark.

Thanks, Roger. Does that mean that Ming.le and SmartOffice can exist on the Solaris Unix server that Portal currently exists on, or do we have to go to a Windows platform for both of those? I realize that Landmark is only Windows.

          Greg,
Landmark *used to be* Windows only, but that is no longer accurate.

I have only installed ISO on Windows, and I do not think it can be installed on Unix server.

Similarly Workspace/Mingle I believe can only be installed on Windows server; I have never installed it on any flavor of Unix.

              Roger that's my understanding also.

Landmark/IPA/SS/LTM/Finance (it's new I don't know it's formal name), et al is both
ISO, Ming.le, Workspace, etc is Windows only
