Hello,
I've got a new field created in an existing Lawson table (BENEFICRY). I'll call it NEW-FIELD. The database dict has been rebuilt and the database reorged no problem.
This is LSF9 with 8.1 apps including ESS using ORACLE.
Trying to create an AGS call to push data to this new field. I'm using exisiting Lawson javascript to do it (actually, I'm using SHR002.htm.. the beneficiaries screen).
I coded it something like this:
...
...
+ "BNF-NEW-FIELD1=" +BenRec.new-field
+ "&BNF-TYPE1=" + BenRec.benef_type
....
I'm expecting the http call for the new field to reference "NEW-FIELDr0" and the TYPE to appear as 'TYPEr0"
But it's acutually coming out as:
TYPEr0 (correct)
NEW-FIELD1 (incorrect)
This is a new field I've added. And it uses the AGS function in transaction.js to construct the http call.
So, for a new field I've added to a table, do I need to change the AGS function to make sure the "r0" get's appended to the field name for the http call?
I see AGS code in transaction.js but, I'm hesitent to change that code. Seems like the AGS should pick up new fields with no problems!
Anyone ever done this type of thing before? Ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Roger

I don't think you can do that. The AGS call is just a call to the Cobol code. The Cobol code has no idea about your new field. Which form are you calling?

Nope AGS is not a call to COBOL per se.
The transaction.js is where the AGS handler functions are defined.
The form is BN47.1 where I want to run the AGS to. The new field has already been added to the COBOL code in BN47, compiled and works fine.

I haven't done this before. Can you access your new and improved BN47 form through portal?
