Has anyone ever ran into an issue similar to this, and if so what did you do?

I have created 2 or 3 "custom" reports. They run fine and generate the desired output. However, when I try to genereate <send to> a CSV file from the PRTMGR in LID, the CSV File selection is not "selectable".

I'm thinking there might be a parameter within the report form that has to be set?

This action works fine in the standard Lawson apps, so it must be something that I have omitted.

    Thanks!

When you say "custom"...are they "painted" reports or written from scratch in 4GL/COBOL?

        Hi John,
        These are cobol apps (unix).

Hmm... I'm not aware of anything special that you need to do.
          I'm assuming you've tried recompiling...

I've also seen this when permsmaint is set too strict, and users can't access the RptMap files...

I'm not familiar with, or maybe I know them by another name, the rptmap files etc.

Where would these be, so that I can check the permission thing?

            Thanks!

              $LAWDIR//rptmap/default/.rmp
Make sure you have one there for your custom program, and if so that it's readable by your users.

Are you familiar with Lawson's 'permsmaint' utility and if so, have you run it recently? I have dealt with some recent cases where it tightens these directories & files down so that the "average user" can't see them!

When you open the report from the print manager, move the cursor down to the first line of detail. The cursor should go from an underline to an highlighted block. When it changes, do your Send To CSV. We have to do that with some regular Lawson reports.

I have also noticed that I can't see the reports my custom apps generate via PDF in Portal.

I get the following message: Error: No .dtl file was found.

I verified that I do have a .dtl file in the print directory, everything looks the same as the reports generated by standard Lawson apps.

I can see all the standard Lawson reports.

I verified that my permissions were set correctly

                  Any ideas?
