    Responsible for executing software development initiatives from the design inception to the final delivery within ERP related applications.   Serves as the subject matter expert for a single, highly complex area or multiple technical disciplines.  Maintain and enhance integral processes serviced by the financial systems including information entry, system access and operation, documentation, data retrieval, report production, table set-up and maintenance, and security to users.  Maintain and/or provide support for the interfaces to and from other financial systems and external vendors as related to financial information processing and recording. Provides leadership on small and medium sized projects with minimal oversight.



    • Perform software development work on a wide range of projects, from small to large.  For all initiatives:
      • Collaborate with end users to understand requirements and design solutions
      • Evaluate options and develop technical design
      • Work with end users to finalize design and gain approvals
      • Program solution using appropriate programming language and/or technical tools
      • Complete thorough unit testing of solution
      • Provide input to the development of integrated test plan
      • Execute integrated test plan
      • Provide input to the development of LIVE plan
      • Support LIVE activities
    • Manage small and medium sized projects with minimal managerial oversight.  Can take a key leadership role in larger projects.Develop key project management tools, including project plans, issues logs, testing plans, and LIVE plans.
    • Develop project work plans to roll out new or upgraded system functionality.  Implement action plans to attain identified goals and objectives.  Develop business analyses and specifications for new initiatives.
    • Build enhancements to current functionality using appropriate programming language and/or technical tools
    • Participate in detailed testing of software updates and upgrades
    • Respond to issues reported by users; research and resolve issues in a timely fashion
    • Provide excellent customer service:  communicate in a friendly and professional manner, empathize with users on system issue impacts, set appropriate expectations on issue resolution
    • Responsible for ongoing on call duties for one or more applications which generate Incidents outside of business hours.  Troubleshoot and resolve system issues escalated by the Help Desk 
    • Participate in cross-training, as a trainer and a learner, for personal development and to ensure adequate secondary coverage on all applications
    • Maintain and ensure the ongoing operational and informational integrity of the General Ledger and other financial systems’ files, master files, interfaces and databases through various balancing and reconciling activities.  
    • Triages all Lawson support inquiries and enhancement requests including tracking for analysis of trends, enabling the identifications of users/user groups needing further assistance.
    • Perform other job related duties as required.


    • Undergraduate degree and 6-8 years healthcare IT experience, or Graduate degree and 4-6 years healthcare IT experience
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience that exhibits proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above requirement
    • Strong technical programming skills demonstrated through prior ERP healthcare IT experience
    • Flexibility and eagerness to learn new technical skills to meet emerging needs
    • Understanding of software development life cycle
    • Excellent customer service orientation
    • Flexibility and can-do attitude
    • Strong analytical ability to develop, conduct, test and document the operation of the General Ledger and other financial, SCM and Payroll systems.
    • Knowledge and understanding of complex system operations, information flows, and sound financial practices to provide credibility for the General Ledger and other financial, SCM and Payroll systems.
    • Oral and written communication and presentation skills needed to effectively perform duties.
