Has anyone upgraded to BSI 10?

We are on environment 9.0.1.10. Based on what I have read, we need to upgrade our environment to 9.0.1.12 OR 9.0.1.13 as a prerequisite. Then we need up apply an Environment patch JT-538249, and then we need to apply an Application patch JT-440566.

Looking for anyone who has done this already... just looking for any gotchas or anything else. I have not heard good things from people who went to 9.0.1.13--but maybe they have that sorted out now?

We are leaning towards 9.0.1.12 Environment.

    Any comments/suggestions appreciated!

    Thanks

We have not done the BSI 10 part yet, but thought I'd let you know that we are testing 9.0.1.13 and applications 9.0.1.10 and have not had any significant issues (although you will want to apply the latest environment patch collections). On 9.0.1.13 you'd only need to apply the application CTP to support BSI 10, since the environment already includes the changes needed.

          TJ,

How long did it take? Just for planning purposes. Did you upgrade Portal or anything else in the process?

          Thanks,

          Erik

from 9.0.1.8 to 9.0.1.12 - BIG, bc our custom portals, custom cobol, and altered LDAP.

BSI10 - ice on the cake: if you are on 9.0.1.12, apply those req. JTs, backup BSI9 with BSI9 client. install/configure BSI10 server, same as install/configure BSI9: download, extract, ftp to server, cmprts and compora10.

for BSI10 client: windows2012, install java, tomcat, bsi10 client.

their install procedure is easy to follow. if you run into issue, shoot me email: mannt@email.chop.edu

              Hi,

I saw your comments about BSI10 and I have a question for you, I hope you can help me with.

We are on Lawson 9.0.1.12 and our I.T. department installed the CTP 100734 (in test).

Also our I.T. department has installed BSI10 (in test).

Typically I do not like to install a Lawson patch and a BSI patch at the same time because if I have problems; which one is the problem.

From reading the README document on the CTP 100734; it seems as though I should be testing this while pointing to BSI10?  Is that correct?

At first I thought I would test the CTP 100734 and be pointing at BSI9.

              Thank you for your help!

              Bonnie

                  Hi Bonnie,
We're on SP12 (have been there for a little while and will likely stay there until our v10 upgrade, honestly).

We're on the SaaS version of BSI. The SaaS v10 upgrade wasn't available until fairly recently so we had done all the necessary patches ahead of time and everything was still pointing to v9. We didn't have any issues at all with them. This week we performed successful payroll parallel in our BSI10 test envioronment so we'll be moving to BSI10 in production next week. Outside of the not-so-complete documentation, it's gone smoothly.
Give a holler if you have questions we might help with.
