    Hi all,

We're just finishing a case with Infor support where they found our TDS version was severely lacking on FixPacks (none had been installed by consultants who did original install).   Their recommendation was "You will want to have some plan on applying the TDS fixpack, which also will need to have a GSKit update along with a DB2 v9.7 fixpack."

It's been a few years since I've personally touched this stuff so, rather than re-inventing the documentation wheel and to avoid digging through reams of IBM documentation, might anyone out there have something they've put together for basic steps on doing this?  We'd **greatly** appreciate it.

    Thanks very much!

I have some notes from our 6.1 to 6.3 upgrade with fix packs that I'll send you.

Do you have any issues with TDS without all the fixpack? We have TDS V6.3 and DB2 10.1. we did not install any fixpack yet. So far we did not encounter any issue yet.

          Xin,
There is a possible issue with tds 6.3 I ran into that required an APAR. One-off APARs are extremely easy to install. Also, understand that tds 6.3 using db2 10.1 is NOT supported with out fixpack 21.

Hi, Yes, we had crashing in our Test environment (whenever two folks were adding users using LSA).  Infor Support suggested some TDS settings changes along with FixPacks.  Lenny

apart from adding users using LSA, is there any other issues?

Not that we've noticed. And this issue came up so suddenly that we're looking at other possibilities as the reason.

Yes the instance could hang while running, crash on start up, refuse to start, refuse to be killed off, and refuse to serve entries with base64 encryption hashes... For starters.

My previous post wasn't a hypothetical either, one of my clients had enterprise-wide failure on both their ECM and Lawson machines, due to an APAR that was needed.

And I used enterprise in this post to mean every running Lawson and ECM environment. Nine systems within seven days. Twas not a fun week.
