I'm working on an existing program that I can compile fine and run fine if I am using LID. However, when I try to Add the job in Portal I get a "The value {1} is invalid for the parameter_TKN" error. When I click NEXT so the next job show up, I get the same error. I am able to select the job when I use the drop down list but when I try to submit it, I get an error indicating that I need to Inquire first. When I try that . . . the invalide parameter_TKN error pops up again. For what it's worth the error pops up in a dialog window with "Lawson Portal Message -- Webpage Dialog" in the title bar. I've tried recompiling already and that doesn't resolve it. Anybody had this problem before? Thank you very much for your help!

Check the program in pgmdef and make sure the run type is set to 4 GL.

It's set to "Prototyped And 4G/L"

Just for giggles, I changed it to "Four G/L". Still the same error so I changed it back. Any more ideas? I don't care how wild they seem, I'll try about anything right now. Thanks.

George is absolutely correct.
I've had this exact same problem before. Changing the Run Type
from "Prototyped and 4G/L"
to "Four G/L"
and recompiling the program fixed it!
Best regards,
Dave

Is this a standard or custom program? You may actually have to regen the program after changing it - then recompile. There is a KB article that discusses that process - not in a place to be able to look that up now.

I changed it again to "Four G/L" compiled the program. Made sure I was logged out of the portal. Then deleted all my browsing history under internet options. Waited 30 minutes. Then tried it again and Voila!!! You guys were correct, it solved the problem. I put all of this here not necessarily because it made a difference but in case someone else has the same problem, they may read this and try a similar path. Thanks a ton to both of you!!!

FYI for George.... It was a custom program.
