Hello,
We are in the middle of an ESP upgrade and our EAR files won't deploy. We are actually getting an error "The specified file is not an EAR, WAR, JAR, or SAR archive" when we try to Browse to choose the lawsec.ear file (and then move forward). I assure you that the file is there and it is a valid ear file, but for some reason we are getting this error. We have deployed ear files many times and everything has always worked, but something is different either in this ESP or in WebSphere.
Any pointers would be great on what to check or look into.
Thanks,
Brian

Did you get any errors during the actual install?
You can try that step again and use the 'reload' option and it will re-deliver the .ear file.

Hey John,
I am from the same company as Brian. We have already reloaded the ear file and it still didn't work. There are no errors in the install log. We don't believe the problem pertains to the ear file. Any other ideas?
Thanks!
Matthew

So, you had everything working before you loaded the ESP? Did you load anything else, such as an update to Java and/or Bouncy castle? What platform, versions (previous and this ESP)? You've checked that you aren't out of disk space?
