    Hi everyone!

Where do I find my LAUA distribution groups in LSF9 security?
I've been looking for several hours now, but can only find a way to secure printers and job queues. We have lots of distribution groups created that the users still want to have access to, but I cannot find where they are at in order to add them to an appropriate security class.

    Thanks in advance,
    -Greg

I've given the security class access to all of the executables and tables that I believe are necessary..
id DISTGRP, DISTGRPDTL, DSTGRPGRP, DSTGRPUSER in GEN profile and
dstlstgrpd, dstlstgrpr, jobqgrprpt, prtgrprpt, usergrprpt in ENV profile.

The utility for managing the groups is dstlstgrpdef. Once a user is added through usergrpdef (to avoid going into laua), you should be able to select the group for them on their environment screen in LS.

in LSA, query the user > "edit lawson environment information" > populate the "dist list group"

So there is no specific 'security'-related items from which to pick this out at! DUH! It has already been a long week for me!!
Thanks for all the help, everyone!

HI Greg, did you find out how to fix this issue? We are having a similar issue. There is a job that runs in recdef and the report is assigned to a distribution group. I can see the report in the user's queue but they can't see it. I asked our security Adm and according to him Distribution groups are generally either ALL or DEFAULT. So I am assuming our distribution groups are not working in Portal at least not for this one report.

If you can see it in their queue, but they cannot- that tells me that they do not have at least inquiry permissions to the form. The user will need at least inquiry security to whatever token(s) are defined in the job....
