I have crystal reports in the LBI. When the report is run it goes to the crystal viewer. when you select print it gives the option to export to pdf file. when export is chosen i get DOWNLOAD ACTIVE X prompt from the web. it then requires the user, after it is installed, to re run the report.
how can this be fixed? change permissions?

oo oo I think I know this one!
We had a similar experience. If you're using the report viewer IE, in IE settings enable "Auto prompting for file downloads".
We have a checklist of IE settings we've found are needed for portal and LBI to work correctly. I can post them if you like, I'll just have to change some specific server names, etc.

set your IE security policy to allow activeX without prompting, or just add your url in "intranet zone"
