    Hello,

    I am working with a client who we recently migrated and also upgraded from lsf8 to lsf9.  They are running Enterprise CMC version 11.5.10.1263 connecting via OLE DB version 9.0.4.  We are getting lots of cases stating that some of their bigger reports have come to a crawl since upgrading to lsf9.  These reports are running 10-12 hours in some cases and timing out.  They tried increasing "Connect Timeout" just to see if it will finish, but no luck.  I noticed in the DME call the reports were using "WEBUSER", which from the Lawson IOS documentation is no longer supported, so we changed, but still no luck.  The report I am looking at now had two commands added to it.  Our DBAs have tweaked the resources on the DB and more memory was also added.  The report is indexed on company, filtered on deduction codes and select criteria is by pay period.  I understand OLE DB utilizes Lawson security so run times may be slower, which I warned, but running for 12 hours and timing out is unreasonable.  Are there any changes that would affect these reports in lsf9, since they were built and used in lsf8?  Any thoughts what could be causing this?
    Thank you,

    Troy

      Here is the dme query for this report if it helps.

      dmeROD=PROD&FILE=PRTIME&FIELD=COMPANY;DST-ACCT-UNIT;EMPLOYEE;HOURS;JOB-CODE;PAY-CODE.COMPANY;PAY-CODE.PAY-CODE;PAY-CODE.SEQ-NBR;PAYROLL-YEAR;PER-END-DATE;PRCHECK.COMPANY;PRCHECK.EMPLOYEE;DEPARTMENT;EMPLOYEE.HM-ACCT-UNIT;EMPLOYEE.LAST-NAME;EMPLOYEE.FICA-NBR;EMPLOYEE.FIRST-NAME;EMPLOYEE.FIRST-MI;PRCHECK.CHECK-DATE;PRCHECK.PROCESS-LEVEL;WAGE-AMOUNT;PAY-CLASSES.PAY-CLASS;PAY-CLASSES.HOURS-FLAG;PAY-CLASSES.WAGES-FLAG;PAY-SUM-GRP&INDEX=PRTSET1&KEY=3000&NOIROWLOCATE

        ie: http://yourportalserver/s...ILE=PRTIME..........

          Thanks Jimmy,

          Can this be implemented through Enterprise CMC?  I am passing word to the client.  They are using using query builder, so I am not sure how to make this work.  Is this an edit in the command itself or in query builder?  I am fairly new to this so bear with me..

            I am using a very similar query, with similar results.  In the query builder I can get 65000 records back in just over 2 minutes.  But when I move the query into Cryatal XI R2 SP5, nothing seems to happen after punch in my password for the datasource.  The parameter selection screen never pops up, even after waiting for in excess of 3 hours.  Am I missing something as well here?
