I have a single server LBI test system running on WebSphere 6.1.13 Win 2003 Sever SP2 and LBI902.  I integrated Portal a while back with dsso and a PortalRole efsrole.xml file.  My FS page goes off line sometimes when I log into my Portal Test system profile.  The page seems to stay up if I access FS outside of Portal using dsso security.  I'm working a case with Lawson but I thought I would post in the LBI forum to see if anyone else has encountered this behavior.  There are no errors in the WAS SystemErr.log files.

go to your framework service/xxx.ear/xxx.war/web-inf folder and edit the web.xml file.

search for session-timeout tag and increase the value to 60 or higher (minutes)

        Hi Jimmy,
Thanks for responding to my post. I checked my web.xml file and it is set to 60. 60. The page seems to stay on line if I log in directly to the FS page. The page goes off line sometimes when I log into Portal with an integrated efsrole.xml page.

if FS is using DSSO there should be no issues between the Portal and LBI session. Are you certain you are using DSSO with LBI?

Increase it to 600 then just for testing. start off the day with 600 settings, restart the appserver running LBI.

Log in portal that is integrated with LBI. LBI should stay login for 10 hours or until you log out of portal or when portal log you out due to inactivity.

Also FYI, this problem is fixed in LBI 9.0.4.1.156. They actually // out the session-timeout since it's no longer needed.

Thanks for the TIP!!  I'll try increasing the time out value to see if the issue improves.

I started running into this after upgrading to 9.0.4.2.79. session timeout in FS web.xml surely does look like it commented out.
anybody else ran into this again? Also Lawson CASE are telling me websphere app and server timeouts do not matter whe using DSSO as it uses portal timeout (60 min by default.)

Just in case anyone else is experiencing this same issue with Portal and LBI:

"this is a known issue that we've seen a rash of lately. We have JT-285110 as a priority 2 fix. I'll attach to this case and put in waiting development response and you'll be notified when the fix is available."

Yeah I opened the ticket with lawson to describe this issue. We are getting a time out issue where LBI doesnt return to the LSF webpage to reautheticate the user. JT 276204 which was first stated obsolete when I found this on 9/28/11 9042.79 they created a new ticket when i told them it wasnt fixed on 10/11/11 9042.86. Both patches were P2's I havent heard much from them, I have had to check the downloads for updates, since I was not being updated on the ticket.

I believe the issue is with DSSO and ESP5+. We are on ESP8 and 9041, though our LSF is expericing a strange timeout error message.
