We are having our systems moved and I want LBI to be available longer than lawson. We usually log into lbi via a link in the lawson portal but I do have the direct url for lbi. I am being told they are not sure if LBI can be up without the portal ? We don't want to allow users to log into the portal because we don't want any data changed. Our LBI is strictly reports only. As long as the database is up can users log directly into LBI and run their reports without the portal also being accessible?
Thanks
Kate

Yes they can. LBI has its own authentication mechanism.

Kate, it depends on how you have LBI authentication set up. If LBI is using Lawson SSO, and you take down Lawson, then no, you can't login to LBI. However, if LBI is using a different authentication mechanism, such as LDAP or its own internal, then yes, LBI can stand alone.
