Hi All
We have a set of Excel files refreshed every week by a job. I would like to place a link to those file in the Dashboard.
Is this possible or does the LBI dashboard only allow either a "web address" link or a published Crystal Report?
This is on LSf9.0.0.4 on Windows 2003 with SQL2005 backend
Thanks
Saurabh

You can set a URL to point to a file on a server. That would solve your need.

Ahh Thanks David, realised what i was doing wrong
I needed to share the folder and then put the unc path rather than the actual windows path
Its working now

If you would like a bit more control in regards to users as well as adding these links to a Report List, you can publish the files to Reporting Services and then share them this way. Keep in mind, by doing this, any changes made to these files will not be saved to the linked file.
Another creative way to do this would be to create a SmartNotifications that looks in the directory of your choice and displays all files as links to view.
