    LBI 9.0.2 on Windows 2003

    Env: Unix, with Oracle DB

In reporting services dashboard, when there is a *scheduled* report, the viewer logs into Reporting Services initially. Then the viewer must log in again with Oracle credientials to actually view the *scheduled* report. Is this the way it's supposed to work? Having to log in twice to view a scheduled report?(Sorry I did not set up this instance of Reporting services).

For regular, published reports, the user only need to log in one time.

Roger: In Report Administration, find the report in question, click on "Details", bo to the "Data Settings" link. Put in the "Default User ID" and Password(s), and make sure that the next box says "Schedule and Viewer"

Id also recommend exploring Override Data Sources. See the Report Admin Guide for detailed steps but it will allow you to change User Names, Passwords and database locations for multiple reports by just making one change.

          Greg,

We don't see the next box on the screen which has the option "Schedule and Viewer". I'm guessing that is another option which must be allowed for the Reporting Services Administrator to have access to.

It's actually labeled "User ID and Password Used On" There should be a drop-down choice and you need it to say "Schedule and Viewer" Sorry if I wasn't clear before.

Sorry I still don't see that.
Within Data Settings (within the Details of the Report), in the box labeled "When Viewing Report" it has three options:
              1. Prompt for User ID and Password
              2. Use the user id and password entered above
              3. Use the current user's user ID and password

(For this report we have number 2 selected; also we have already entered the default report id and password)

There is no option which says "Sceduler and Viewer" there. There is no box which has that option.

that should be enough. Once you set the default username and password or the override data source you should be able to run the report with out getting prompted.

Nope, we have done all that and still the viewer, after receiving the email and clicking on the link within the email, must logon to Reporting Services, and then a second time to logon to the Oracle database (within Reporting Services).

If you republish the report then you have to set up the data settings again. Is that something you may have done since setting the inital values?

Yes we republished, then we reset the data settings to what they need to be. Still, have to log on twice.

I'm reading a KB article 1000297... says we will need to add an argument to the dashboard link of "Refresh=true". We know we can manually add that to the report URL in the browser and that will prevent having to log in twice.

Where do we add the arguement to the dashboard link? Within the "Edit..." link on the dashboard? (I don't see a place to add arguements. I need explicit navigation steps on this one guys.

                      Thanks in advance,

                      Roger

                        Is this a historical instance?

Have you tried putting in the credentials for the second (database) login?

Does it then run successfully or does it continuously prompt for the db login?

Can you post the link that is being included in your emails?

Is there by chance a sub report? I had this happen to me this week and I noticed there was a sub report. I did database, set location to both the main report and sub report to the same source and it resolved the issue. Although they were already set to the same place for some reason LBI didn't see it that way until I re-set them. Hope it helps. I have the Refresh link and can tell you where to add it if you still need it

Was anyone able to figure a resolution to this problem?

Running in to this issue now. LBI 9.0.4.2_79 and CRS v11.5 with matching designer version.

Main and sub-reports work fine if you run for data refresh, but for historical/exported instances, the db log in prompt appears for the sub-reports.

FYI, Lawson/Infor support informed me that this is a known Business Objects/SAP limitation. They have quite a few problem/enhancement tickets closed for this.

The historical/exported report does not save the db login credentials for the on-demand subreport.

We are having to remove the sub-report links and publish a separate report.
