Smart Notes Datasource to Essbase

    We are attempting to create Smart Notes using Hyperion Essbase.  SN version 9.0.2.2.127 Hyperion Essbase 7.1.3.0 Build2.  Our Lawson and LBI are both hosted by Siemens. 

    When I go and set up the information in SN InfoSet,  I get a message that the Database can not be found. 

    Does anyone have a SN using Hyperion Essbase working?  If so, any suggestion?

      Wendy,

      Let me see if I can dig that up but you realize you are in-effect flattening the multidimensional datasource as SN is not an analytical tool. I do know you have to use the ESSbase API to create the connection.

      What do your data source connection parameters look like?

          Ok, I dont think I ever got this working but some what youll need to do is copy the java library over that includes the essbase implementation class. Copying it into %TOMCAT_HOME%/common lib and be sure to restart tomcat.  My lack of understand was what jar file the "implementation class"was in.
