I am a consultant and one of my clients has asked me to assist with troubleshooting of their "auto-sub" process.
According to customer, they have set up "substitute items" using the ASSOCIATED ITEMS form (IC13.1) and whenever a requisition is submitted for Inventory items, the WH module will (during the allocation process) attempt to fill Backorder items from any subs that are setup for the requested item (in IC13.1).
I have never seen or heard of this functionality and the Lawson documentation leads me to believe that IC13 has no functionality outside of the OE module so my question is this...has anyone out there ever used IC13 for the purposes described here? At this point, I am just trying to figure out if this is Lawson functionality vs customization so I can focus my energy in the proper direction.
Any assistance is much appreciated!!
Thanks!!

We don't use IC13 so I just added an existing stock item as a substitue in TEST. I adjusted out all the stock for the original item and then created a demand. I ran WH130 and it did not automatically substitute the other item for the out of stock item. It did throw a comment on the pick list saying that a substitute was available but the comment didn't identify what that was.
