We are currently on v9 of Lawson and 10.1.6.6 of MSCM, and have heard there was an updated version of MSCM that is now available that supports the Android platform.  Is there anyone that has this new version installed and using an Android device?  I need to review new hardware options, but wanted to get input/opinions on the Android options because of the lower cost and more options for devices.  Have you had many issues with the new version of MSCM or the Android capability.

I think this is part of the mobile apps - I have not been able to find it and am "me too"ing this request.

Just got an email from Emkat-- a piece of it is reproduced here:

Android OS based Data Terminals are now certified for use with Lawson MSCM.

July 10-12th, visit our booth (#167) at Inforum in NYC to see all the new Android hardware options, or contact Emkat at sales@emkat.com for more information.

Is someone using Zebra TC51 Android with V10? I heard there are too many bugs with V11, I would like to find out about V10.

We're v10MSCM and are testing the TC51s as they will pass whatever IT Security app needs and MSCM. So far they have tested well per a co-worker.

I am curious to know your results when you have them. We are looking to upgrade because we are using Dolphin 99EX units that are now no longer being sold. Based on what I have found Microsoft has ended support for windows mobile. That only leaves three handhelds on the compatibility matrix that are still supported. Unless there is a new version of windows mobile that will be supported past 2020 we will have to move to Android.

We are trying to implement the TC51 on 10.1.8.25 and are having issues with logins. We have to define a 'profile' on the device and once it's defined only one user can log in. All other users are getting a connection error. Can you share any experience you had with the 'profile' screen and why you cannot just use the base login screen that comes up with the SCM icon.

TC51s are in beta here MSCM v10.1.8.21 - no such profile error. BUT we are having problems getting them connecting to wifi - they work fine in the IT Building but then seem to have to be reconfigured when they connect in another building. Per IT this is unusual and they are setting them up to connect to the mobile device network at each facility. But no - they all want the IT Building.

We are on MSCM Server 10.1.8.12 with MPC, RAD and AndroidShell apk files(10.1.8.24) installed on Honeywell CT50 devices. We are facing Batch Picking/UOM/Epic pick ticket issues. Im guessing we need to upgrade our MSCM Server to 10.1.8.24 and test workflow AGAIN. Anyone else facing these issues on CT50/CT60 devices?

One additional note we have found. The MSCM application does NOT time out on an android device. I have tried a workaround of disconnecting wifi when the device goes into sleep mode - however if you set the sleep time to anything less than 30 minutes it does not work. There is no way to actively kill the INFOR session being held by the device. This is a huge security risk with multiple users sharing devices. Even choosing 'sign out' does not 'kill the session. If your can use the back arrow on the device you can get back into the active session.

Obviously an old thread, but wondering if you all resolved the issues you were seeing?
We are phasing out our Honeywell 99EX devices and moving to Android, most likely Zebra TC52 devices.

Also wondering if anyone has an example of their serverprofile.data file that you would share?
I'm hoping to setup both PROD and TEST profiles, but can't seem to find the format needed for that.

We are running 10.1.8.39 currently, but will be upgrading to 11.x in the next 3-4 months.
