We've been using the fax integrator for our fax and email PO's since we went live with Lawson in 2012.  We're wondering what other organizations use.  If you do use the fax integrator, are you satisfied with it and do you have someone on site who is a knowledgeable resource when there are issues?  Thanks!

I'd like to see what others are using as well.  We're currently using fax integrator and would like to see if anyone else is using something that's easier to manage and more reliable.

Up until a couple of weeks ago we were running LFI version 9 on an XP machine. It crashed almost daily. So far version 10 on a Windows 7 machine has been running great. We still have the a few vendors that fail to send every time on LFI but work fine on the manual fax machine. But I don't find LFI difficult to manage but I've been working with it since 2004.

I have found Fax Integrator to be very reliable and easy for end users to self-manage. One disadvantage is that you have to set up a "dedicated" PC and unless something has changed in the past few years, someone has to monitor the PC regularly to determine if any faxes have failed.  That said, it is a very user friendly user interface that allows you to sort and/or search on any field in the transmission screen.  It also allows the user to correct fax numbers and resend directly from that screen.

Other options that I know of include MHC and GHX.  I also have heard that Right Fax can be used, but I haven't been able to see it in action.

With GHX, you actually send your POs to GHX via EDI and GHX will convert the PO to a fax or email and will send it to the suppliers. The PO will also contain a url address that the supplier can use to return an EDI PO Acknowledgement.  This is pretty good stuff, however the "con" is that you must "register" each supplier with GHX and this process can take days, sometimes weeks, and therefore leads to a troubling situation for sending faxes to new suppliers

I haven't worked much with MHC but have a client that uses it and really likes it.

Jon - Did someone onsite do the upgrade or did you hire a third party? I'm curious of any issues you might have run into.

Our Lawson support analyst in IT downloaded the latest version of LFI and our desktop support person installed it on the new Windows 7 machine. I grabbed some screenshots of V9 and gave those to her as a reference to set up V10. The only issue we had was that the fax documents were word wrapping so the line totals were on the left side of the page. KB article 1201969 fixed that.

There was one other issue. Email POs were being blocked. IT had to enable email relaying specifically for the LFI pc on our mail servers to allow the LFI to send out email.
