    Hi all,
Am helping a client hospital streamline supply chain functionality.  Was wondering if any users had experience with Lawson's contract management module?  We are weighing it against Ariba and a couple of other point solutions.  We have a number of tiered PPI contracts (non-GPO) and would like the management of this to be as hands-off as possible.  Previous hospitals I have worked at have complained that Lawson's UI is subpar and that managing tiers is cumbersome, but I do not have a lot of direct experience to validate their complaints.
    Thanks,
    Jim

jm - we are currently looking at the strategic sourcing and contracting modules and I would enjoy hearing about any feedback you may have gotten from other sources. We are set to see a demo of the products in January.  thanks

We have contracts management installed in a test environment now. I am on the IT side, but my procurment coworkers are excited about it. We were curious who has used it in a live environment yet?? Anyone out there currently using it?

Has anyone had an issue with converting existing contracts?  The way I see it, the pre-existing contracts will be visible to contract management, but you can only change them in Lawson, not contract management.  That means you have to go back and forth to update contracts between Lawson and contract management.  Any ideas?  thanks

I just brought my client live using contract management with their product contracts beginning of December… Service contracts set to go live January 1.

They converted and uploaded all of their existing contracts into contract management for two reasons. One, because their existing product contracts were built vendor specific not contract/vendor specific. Too, so that all contracts are now housed and maintained in one place. The old contracts in 25 or inactivated and the new contracts uploaded in contract management referenced the old agreement number/po20 number, as it applied. This was done by creating a related document… The document type being a previous contract.

Everything seems to be working perfectly at this time. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me. Am happy to share any experience and provide some guidance.
