On my AP90.x screens, I need to pull up an image of the invoice if it is available. I put in code to hide the button if I know there is no image. Then, I did an on click function to pull up the URL. I notice that if I select an action of URL and hard-code the URL, it opens a blank window. I need to build my URL because the voucher number is a parameter on my URL. When I removed the URL, I noticed that as I was popping up my image a about blank window appeared. I hardcoded my Intranet home page, and noticed it popped that up. Then, I changed the action from URL to Form Action and chose no action. It worked fine. I guess I would like to know what I should set my button action as or if there is a way to change the URL=....

Not sure if you still need assistance with this, but have you tried assigning a function to the button instead of a url. You can then use some scripting within the funtion to dynamically build the URL. Im interested to find out how you hide the button. Let me know if you need some more information.

Angela,
You are trying to do the same thing I am. Calling an url from a Lawson form screen. However, I can't figure out how to pass the parameter.
Could you send me screenshots of how you accomplished this?
thanks,
Bruce

We use ImageNow to hold our invoices and placed buttons on a variety of forms. Here is an example from AP90.
function trim(stringToTrim)
{
return stringToTrim.replace(/^\s+|\s+$/g,"");
}
function BUTTON_OnClick(id, row)
{
if(id=="push3")
{
var strWebNow = "https://webnowprod/index.jsp?action=document&viewname=urlAP&username=anonymous&password=1&filtername=Invoice&filterscope=public";
var vVendor = trim(lawForm.getDataValue("API-VENDOR"));
var vInvoice = lawForm.getFormValue("out8",row);
var vSuffix = lawForm.getFormValue("out9",row);
if (vSuffix == 0)
{
vInvoice = encodeURIComponent(vInvoice);
}
else if (vSuffix < 10)
{
vInvoice = vInvoice + "-00" + vSuffix;
vInvoice = encodeURIComponent(vInvoice);
}
else if (vSuffix >9 && vSuffix < 100)
{
vInvoice = vInvoice + "-0" + vSuffix;
vInvoice = encodeURIComponent(vInvoice);
}
else
{
vInvoice = vInvoice + "-" + vSuffix;
vInvoice = encodeURIComponent(vInvoice);
}
//alert(vInvoice);
var invURL = strWebNow + "&filterparam1=" + vVendor + "&filterparam2=" + vInvoice;
if(vVendor != "" && vInvoice != "")
{
imgWindow=window.open(invURL, "","toolbars=no,titlebar=no,resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,menubar=no");
imgWindow.focus();
return true;
}
return true;
}
return true;
}
