I'm new to Design Studio, so please bear with me. Currently, we use Manager Self-Service as a view only application. However, we want to implement the MSS personnel actions as soon as possible. My plan is to start with the termination personnel action. Unfortunately, the delivered functionality of MSS does not meet our needs, so to make a long story short I need to create a termination screen. My plan is to use Design Studio and build it off of the PA52 screen, which I have already started. My question is how do I set it up so when a manager clicks on the employee id number field it only displays his/her direct reports?

Any help (or words of wisdom, things to watch out for, etc.) are appreciated!

I think you can use a ListBox and populate the data available to it from a query to get the current user's direct reports.

Would this be done thru JavaScript in the UI Designer or thru the Data Query servlet in the Portal Page Designer? Unfortunately, I haven't learned JavaScript yet but am planning on taking an online course. As for the Portal Page Designer, I haven't created one yet but can use my Lawson Design Studio user guide.

This would be through JavaScript in the UI Designer. There are DME samples in the user guide.

             Matt -

Did you get this?  I worked a reply for about 20 minutes...then my browser died on the post.

No, I did not get it. If you have another 20 minutes to spare I would certainly appreciate your advice!

              Thanks!
